Welcome to the Department of English and American Studies at Paderborn University

Our department is committed to a broad perspective on language, literature, and culture in the English-speaking world. We offer degree programs for future teachers (GyGe, GHRGE/BK, Grundschule), a BA and MA program in English and American Literature and Culture, a BA and MA program in Linguistics, and a Ph.D. program open to a wide range of dissertation projects. 30 faculty members bring innovative approaches and international experience to their teaching and research. Guest lecturers from the English-speaking world and various opportunities to study abroad complement our program, building bridges from Paderborn to the UK, the US, Ireland, Canada, India, and Australia.

Einladung zu den Gastvorträgen im Rahmen des Seminars "Mensch, Erde! Interreligiöses Lernen am Thema Schöpfung"

Im Rahmen des Seminars "Mensch, Erde! Interreligiöses Lernen am Thema Schöpfung", welches von Dr. Naciye Kamcili-Yildiz (Universität Paderborn) und Prof. Dr. Katharina Kammeyer (Universität Paderborn) gestaltet wird, wird es zwei Gastvorträge geben, an denen Interessierte herzlich eingeladen sind. 

Der erste Vortrag wird am 22.12.2022 von Linda Kaiser, Religionslehrerin an der Evangelichen Geamtschule Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck, gehalten. Sie wird einen Einblick in ihre Arbeit geben und die Unterrichtsreihe vorstellen, die sie in einem 5. Jahrgang durchgeführt hat. Der Vortrag geht von 11:15 bis 12:45 Uhr im Raum L2 201.

Der zweite Vortrag findet am 12.01.2022 von 11:15 Uhr bis 12:45 Uhr im Raum L2 201 statt. Die Religionslehrkräfte Felix Dickopp, Dr. Silvia Horsch und Julia Lünswilken aus dem Gymnasium Ursulaschule (Osnabrück) werden eine interreligiöse Unterrichtsreihe vorstellen und von ihren Erfahrungen mit Kooperation im Religionsunterricht berichten.
