Hauptziel dieses Projektes ist es, durch die Kombination von quantitativen und experimentellen Methoden eine empirisch fundierte Beschreibung und ein Verständnis der Wirkweise graphischer Literatur und insbesondere des Genres des graphischen Romans zu erlangen. Damit soll dieses Projekt Impulse zu einer Etablierung empirischer Methoden in der Geisteswissenschaft geben und einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Intermedialitätsforschung leisten.

This project aims to analyze the representation of class and poverty in U.S. and U.K. novels by comparing works written by both working-class and middle-class authors and seeks to establish whether there are quantitative differences between “endo” and “exo” representations of class. For more information see: https://dhi.uic.edu/research/endo-exo-writers-project/

Focus of this interdisciplinary research project is the interactive grammatical analysis of historical texts.
