Corpora and Language

The conference ''Corpora and Language'' / ''Korpora und Sprache'' will be hosted by the chair of English Linguistics at the Department of English and American Studies at the University of Paderborn, Germany on March 29-31, 2017.

The conference is a platform for researchers from the field of corpus linguistics to discuss current topics and present their projects and latest results. We invite submissions for presentations and posters focusing on all aspects of corpus linguistics, especially on the creation, annotation and use of corpora.

The languages of the conference are English and German.

Registration will be closed on February 20, 2017.


Conference venue:

The conference will be held in building J at the University of Paderborn, Warburger Str. 100, 33098 Paderborn, Germany.

  • an introduction to English and German corpora (Dr. Markus Freudinger)
  • annotation and query (Dr. Sabine Bartsch)
  • spoken language (PD Dr. Christian Langstrof)
