Information for Participants

  • On Thursday, we start at 1 p.m. at the University Campus, Building L, Room L1.202. The registration desk is at the L-foyer.
  • Key-note lecture takes place at another venue at the city center (Audimax, Theological Faculty, Liboriberg 23). We will be transferred by bus, from a bus stop in front of the conference venue. The bus leaves at 5.30 p.m.
  • Conference Dinner takes place on Friday, 14th December, 8 p.m. at Kö13, Neuer Platz, Paderborn.
  • In case you want to bring a digital presentation: Please note that we operate on Windows. We will have a laptop in each room, where all the presentations will be saved in advance. In case your presentation needs software incompatible with our infrastructure and you cannot change that, we can arrange you to use your laptop only if you bring a suitable adapter (for HDMI), but please try to avoid it due to intensive time schedule of the conference. There will be a presenter available.
Please send us your presentation until Wednesday. Please put your name and the number of the track in the file name (track 1 or 2, plenary sessions count as track 1). Thank you!
  • Initially, we planned your talks for 30 minutes + 10 minutes discussion. However, as 10 minutes for discussion is a fairly short time, we suggest to limit your talk to 20 or 25 minutes. Please decide yourself what suits you better.
  • Please keep in mind that we need to adhere to a very intensive time schedule, so do not hesitate to interrupt a speaker if her talk exceeds 30 minutes.
  • Initially, we planned the talks for 30 minutes + 10 minutes discussion. However, as 10 minutes for discussion is a fairly short time, we suggested to limit the talks to 20 or 25 minutes. This is for the speakers to decide, but 30 minutes should not be exceeded.
  • Please refrain from long introduction of speakers. We would like to keep the standard of short introductions for the whole conference to stay on schedule, but also because our speakers have very diverse academic status and we would rather emphasize equality than difference in this case.
