Digital Cultures/ Digital Humanities

We are delighted to welcome you to the website of the Digital Cultures / Digital Humanities Working Area. Our working area combines research on digital technologies and media with ethical and political questions such as the status of knowledge, socio-cultural situatedness, power structures, subject positions, and categories of difference. We work on fundamental theoretical concepts such as subject, autonomy, public sphere, privacy, and care, and their entanglement with digital technologies, as well as researching them using digital methods. In this way, our work combines central themes of the humanities with research on digital technologies and methods.
