With the 19th century, technical-scientific developments have become a formative factor of modern culture. The Applied Ethics working group associated with the Heinz Nixdorf Institute focuses on technology ethics in the digital world analyses technical visions, human-technology relations and socio-technical transformations as well as normative and epistemic challenges of these developments.

SPT Con­fer­ence in Eind­hoven from 25.06 - 28.06.25

From 25 to 28 June 2025, the 24th biennial international conference of the Society of Philosophy and Technology will take place in Eindhoven. The theme of this year's conference is: "The Intimate Technological Revolution". Suzana Alpsancar, Sven Thomas and Lara Vitale will present current research findings.

Tu­tori­al at the SAIL-Spring­school on 27.03.25

The SAIL research network is organising a Springschool for doctoral candidates developing intelligent socio-technical systems from 25-27 March at Bielefeld University. In this context, Jun.
