Final theses in the field of social pedagogy

Your final theses (Bachelor/Master) in various subject areas of social pedagogy can be supervised by the lecturers of the AG Social Pedagogy (Prof'in Dr. Nina Göddertz, Prof'in Dr. Sandra Landhäußer, Dr Stephan Dahmen or Dr Melanie Oechler) can be supervised.

Supervision of educational science theses with a social pedagogical focus is also possible by prior arrangement (during office hours).

Requirements for the supervision of your thesis

Before you can be supervised and register your thesis, you must submit an exposé containing the following points by the deadline:

  • (provisional) title of the thesis
  • central question or problem (in preliminary formulation)
  • detailed explanation of the question or problem (approx. ½ - 1 page), which makes it clear what the subject of the work is and how you want to deal with it
  • Preliminary outline
  • 4-6 references that you consider to be central

Deadlines for submitting your thesis synopsis

15 February (at the latest) for supervision during the coming summer semester

15.08. (at the latest) for supervision during the coming winter semester

The final confirmation of supervision and registration of the thesis can only take place after the exposé has been submitted!

Support in writing an exposé

Every semester, we offer an information event and a PANDA course on final theses, in which we help you to find and specify a topic and write your exposé.

If you intend to write on a topic in the field of social pedagogy, we strongly recommend that you attend all three consecutive dates of this course (see below for dates and registration).

Students specialising in social pedagogy automatically receive a confirmation of supervision and can register directly for the information event.

If you are not studying social pedagogy: Please arrange a consultation appointment with Prof'in Dr Nina Göddertz, Prof'in Dr Sandra Landhäußer, Dr Stephan Dahmen or Dr Melanie Oechler before attending our information event.
