This data protection declaration describes the processing of your personal data when registering for the digital lecture series "Wege zu einer Didaktik der Sozialpädagogik" from summer semester 2024. Paderborn University thus fulfils its information obligations in accordance with Art. 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter: GDPR). With regard to the terms used below, e.g. "personal data", "processing", "controller", etc., please refer to the definitions in Art. 4 of the GDPR.

When registering for the digital lecture series "Wege zu einer Didaktik der Sozialpädagogik" from summer semester 2024, Paderborn University will process the following of your personal data for the following purposes and legal bases:
Your processed personal data are First name, surname, email address
The purpose of the processing is the registration for the digital lecture series "Wege zu einer Didaktik der Sozialpädagogik" from summer semester 2024. This requires the administration of the registration data for the purpose of informing participants and providing the invitation link to the digital lectures in the Zoom video conferencing system.
The legal basis for this processing of your personal data is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 subpara. 1 lit. a) GDPR)
Note:
The digital lecture series "Wege zur Didaktik der Sozialpädagogik" is to run for five years from summer semester 2024 and will be held with the Zoom campus licence of Leuphana University Lüneburg. The data protection information for the implementation of the digital lecture series via Zoom is provided by Leuphana University of Lüneburg.
3. recipient of your personal data
Your personal data, which will be processed by Paderborn University when you register for the digital lecture series "Wege zu einer Didaktik der Sozialpädagogik" from summer semester 2024, will not be transferred to third parties by Paderborn University, subject to the data processing described below. If (technical) service providers are given access to your personal data, this is done, if necessary, on the basis of a contract in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR. For data processing that takes place with other controllers, this is done, if necessary, on the basis of an agreement in accordance with Art. 26 GDPR. Within Paderborn University, only those departments and employees will receive your personal data if they are authorised and need it to fulfil the above-mentioned purpose(s).

No personal data will be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area and associated countries (no "third country transfer").
5. duration of storage of your personal data
Your personal data processed by Paderborn University when you register for the digital lecture series "Wege zu einer Didaktik der Sozialpädagogik" as described above will generally be deleted as soon as they are no longer required for the purposes for which they were collected, i.e. by the end of the five-year lecture series in 2029.
If and insofar as the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, your data will only be stored until you revoke your consent, unless there is also another legal basis for the processing (Art. 17 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR).

As a data subject, you can assert the rights granted to you by the GDPR at any time; these are

- the right to data portability of the data concerning you in accordance with Art. 20

7. revocability of your consent
Any consent given can be revoked in whole or in part at any time without giving reasons. Revocation does not affect the lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until revocation (Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR). As a result, Paderborn University may no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future. If you wish to withdraw your consent in whole or in part, simply send an email to datenschutz@uni-paderborn.de.
8. right to lodge a complaint
