The practical semester offers students the opportunity to gain experience in the practical field of school against the background of their academic training, to reflect on this in a theory-based manner and to evaluate it with regard to their further professional development.

In the field of educational science, a special focus is placed on the interdisciplinary aspects of teaching and education. In the corresponding training programmes (preparatory, accompanying and accompanying research seminars), students are supported in relating their experiences to the theoretical knowledge they have acquired so far and reflecting on their own practice with the help of empirical research approaches.
