Working group on special educational support and inclusion at school, specialising in learning
A warm welcome!
About us
The department's research and teaching is dedicated to questions of learning in schools, with a particular focus on (school) inclusion and the special educational focus of "learning".
Our work centres on the qualification of student teachers for a school for all children. This includes critical reflection on social inequality and educational disadvantage and the corresponding processes of labelling and creating difference, as well as (historical) analyses of diagnostics or categorisation procedures, for example.
We are also concerned with the well-being of children and young people as well as the professionalisation processes of teachers for an inclusive school and the multi-professional cooperation that takes place there. LIFT - Lernwerkstatt Inklusion und individuelle Förderung in TP 12 of the UPB - offers numerous impulses for this - you are cordially invited!
Our goals are the appreciation of diversity, the strengthening of participation and the reduction of educational inequality and barriers to learning. This includes analysing selective and discriminatory structures in the education system as well as developing materials for initial and further training and pedagogical practice.
You can find an insight into the study programme in this video: Studying to become a teacher: Special Educational Needs / Special Needs Education.
You will find us in the Technologiepark 12 building, about 5-10 minutes from the campus.
