Project AWARE - Work 4.0: Needs analysis and development of support services for companies in the manufacturing industry to shape the digital transformation of the world of work

Project objective

The aim of the overall project is to uncover the design potential of digitalisation for the world of work and to develop approaches for implementation in a way that is humane and creates added value. Throughout the project, particular emphasis is placed on the balance between people, technology and organisation. This ensures that what is technically possible, the organisational design, the communication of change, the impact on employees and their active involvement are in harmony.

Methodological approach in the area of personnel development

The education management group is involved in the pilot project in the area of personnel development. The first step is to systematically record and analyse existing vocational training concepts and measures for the digitalised world of work. This is being done with the help of interviews with human resources managers and a survey of trainers in continuing education. A subsequent market analysis provides a supplementary overview of the latest continuing education programmes.

Results

The results will be incorporated into the development of the necessary sustainable concepts for efficient digital training and the development of best practice models. In addition to better synchronisation of existing continuing education offerings, this also explicitly includes the identification of previously neglected skills development topics for employees and SMEs.
