The out­stand­ing Eng­lish les­son

In this qualitative research project, teacher trainers are interviewed about their notions of the outstanding, i.e. well-crafted and well-taught lesson. Focussing on advanced English classes of secondary schools, the study sheds light on teacher trainers’ understanding of outstanding lessons and discusses it against the background of international research on effective classroom instruction.
