DISCLOSED Sessions. So nennt sich das neue Projekt der Studiengänge „Populäre Musik und Medien“ in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Zentrum für Informations- und medientechnische Dienste (ZIM) der Universität Paderborn. In diesem modernen und produktionstechnisch anspruchsvollen Videoformat werden relgelmäßig Performances von Künstler*innen unterschiedlichster Genres in Szene gesetzt, die das hohe Niveau und die Vielfalt studentischer Musikprojekte präsentieren.

Animat - Blue
It’s hard to believe that animat isn’t some untapped treasure from the singer-songwriter era of the 1960s but instead very much a modern folk trio. Influenced by bands like Fleet Foxes, The Staves and Daughter, the three multi-instrumentalists create a soundscape that is sometimes dreamy, sometimes dance-y, but always fresh and familiar at the same time.

Near Zero - Set the Rules
Near Zero wants to add to guitar-based music with their own spin on the alternative rock sound. Their music is influenced by pop, metal, and folk, resulting in captivating riffs and catchy melodies. Lyrically the trio touches on love, relationships, fear, injustice and desperation as much as current events which inspire their songwriting.

DONFUSSI - Wenn Lichter ausgehen
DonFussi’s blend of melancholic acoustic folk draws parallels to artists like Pinegrove or City & Colour. On social media, the singer-songwriter often shows his music in its purest form: just him, his guitar and his wonderfully sad lyricism.

the glitch youth - spare
Even before their debut release, shoegaze pop prodigies the glitch youth rapidly gained attention among the underground indie scene. The band is best know for their innovative blend of 90s shoegaze aesthetics with contemporary indie pop. Their vibrant sound design consists of unconventional guitar sounds, atmospheric synths and layered vocals.

Danliebermorgen - Gerade gehen
Fuzzy guitars meet pearly snythesizers: you wouldn’t guess that danliebermorgen is a one-man project. But Daniel Lennart Matthes’ full band sound only needs additional musicians on stage - in the studio, the songwriter’s creative vision is all his own.

MAL. - Pays des merveilles
Self-proclaimed modern hippie MAL.’s weapon of choice is the trusty acoustic guitar. The singer-songwriter combines her two passions poetry and music into soft and gentle songs that transcend the barriers of language, singing both in German and English as well as French.
