General Assembly of the Graduate Center of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (GKW)

According to the bylaws (only available in German) of the GKW (8 3), all doctoral students, all academic staff(doctoral and postdoctoral phase) and all professors of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities are members of the Graduate Center. The general assemblies serve to give impulses to the executive board of the GKW for the further work of the Graduate Center and, if necessary, to pass resolutions.

According to the bylaws, these are the tasks of the general assembly:

(3) The General Assembly:

a) receives and acknowledges the report of the managing director,                                         b) advises the Executive Board on important matters concerning the Graduate Center,       c) discusses the further development of the Graduate Center.
