The information and discussion event on the WissZeitVG takes place once a year and is organised jointly with the GEW and representatives of the Academic Staff Council. The invited experts provide an overview of the most important information on the WissZeitVG and the pitfalls and possibilities of the law are discussed on the basis of specific cases.
Among other things, the following questions will be clarified during the event:
- How do you calculate the 12-year maximum time limit?
- In which constellations is it possible to extend a contract?
- What is the situation with third-party funding time limits?
- What is the Special Fixed-term Contract Act?
- Can the contract also be limited in time according to regulations other than the Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act at the university?
- How many contracts are possible?
