Clubs

English Drama Group

The English Drama Group UPB was founded in 2014 as a group of theater enthusiastic students and lecturers. Each semester we prepare a play which is performed at the end of term at the Studiobühne on campus. We regularly rehearse (sometimes also on weekends) in order to perform our plays as best we can. Rehearsals are normally on Tuesdays, 6-8 pm.  It is always fun (and work, too!). Currently the cast has ten members.

For questions, suggestions or comments please contact Dr Jeannette Böttcher.

English "Stammtisch"

English "Stammtisch" is held on Tuesday evenings starting at 8:00 p.m. in Auld Triangle and on Thursday evenings starting at 6:00 p.m. in Grill Café (Uni). Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates!

PADERBORN2READ – The English Book Club

PADERBORN2READ – The English Book Club is the club for all lovers of the written word, defenders of the printed page, meticulous observers and hot-headed discussants. If you enjoy reading and discussing English literature and would like to discover books outside the typical seminar syllabuses, you will be happily welcomed!

Each term, we select a reading schedule that mixes contemporary novels with classic literature, graphic novels and occasionally film adaptations. Discussion sessions take place in J4.319 on each month’s second Thursday at 6 p.m.

Learn more about The English Book Club on paderborn2read.de and join us at any time, for any session that interests you!
