The internationale information week "Ab ins Ausland" provides all students of the faculty with information about studying abroad during their degree programme.
The information week takes place in both the summer and winter semesters and is constantly evaluated and further developed!

During the info week, we offer a variety of events, such as our kick-off with an overview of all forms and possibilities of stays abroad during your studies and lots of general information, tips and tricks, with new offers, events and formats.
Events and information opportunities that are offered are:
- Study abroad check and kick-off for the info week
- Events on studying abroad in general
- Event on financing options for stays abroad
- Information on the recognition/recognition of achievements from abroad
- Offers for internships abroad in international institutions and organisations as well as school internships abroad
- Teacher-specific offers, e.g. information on the international internship semester or foreign school collaborations
- Information on internationalisation at home or blended mobility programmes
- Application workshop for the application for a place at a partner university (study abroad) of KW
- Application workshop for the unsolicited application for an internship abroad

Kick-Off: 50 Shades of Stays Abroad - Which Type Are You?

Study abroad, semester abroad, internship abroad, language course or summer school...what is the right stay abroad for me and my studies? Which study abroad programme is right for me?
During the event, you will test yourself and your expectations of a stay abroad. What type of stay abroad are you? Individual counselling and a presentation of the general possibilities round off the event.

Study abroad at one of the partner universities of the Faculty KW

Paderborn University has a total of over 350 exchange opportunities in 53 countries. But how do you actually find out which partner universities you can study at and where you can find information about the universities? Together we will familiarise ourselves with the "Mobility Online" portal so that you can find the universities and further information yourself. The application process will also be explained.

How do I finance my studies abroad?

Have you ever heard the rumour that a semester abroad is unaffordable? Fortunately, this is not true, because there are plenty of financing options that you will learn about in this course. The focus here is on financing a semester abroad at one of our partner universities via various scholarship and financing options at our university and beyond.

Stays abroad for doctoral candidates

Going abroad during your doctorate? For many doctoral candidates, this is not (yet) an option. There are numerous options open to doctoral candidates - from short conference trips to research visits lasting several months. In this event, we will show you what opportunities doctoral candidates have to go abroad, what planning steps are necessary and how the stay can be financed.

Are you studying to become a teacher and will soon be starting your Master's degree? Then find out about the possibility of spending part of your practical semester abroad. Internships are an essential part of gaining work experience during your studies. Internships abroad? Win-win! With an internship abroad, you can gain and experience work experience, international experience, cultural insights, diversity and much more in one go. Where can I do an internship? How can I find internships? What can be recognised and how do I finance an internship abroad? All these questions will be answered for you!

Are you studying to be a teacher and thinking about spending one of your compulsory or voluntary internships abroad? The PLAZ provides information on how you can complete EOP and co. at a school abroad. We introduce our partner schools, provide information on research opportunities and answer questions about the organisation and financing of an internship at a school abroad.

Stays abroad for students with special needs (individual counselling)

Studying abroad can pose extraordinary challenges for students with caring or family responsibilities or disabilities. In order to be able to prepare and realise your studies abroad in the best possible way, the motto is: Get informed early! And the best way to do this is at this event.

Exchange of experiences: Studying abroad and internships abroad

Meet students who have already completed a stay abroad during their studies and exchange experiences with them.
Are you keen to go to Nottingham Trent University in the UK? Then talk to students who have already been there.
How exactly do I plan my internship abroad now? How did you do it? These are just the right questions for former outgoers.

*Workshop* Intercultural Competence

How can we develop the ability to think and act in an interculturally sensitive way?
In this impulse workshop, we will discuss how intercultural encounters can be organised in a positive way. The main aim is to sharpen our awareness of the various influences that come together in intercultural communication. The workshop will be organised interactively and consist of input and practical exercises that enable knowledge acquisition, exchange and reflection in a pleasant atmosphere.

Internship abroad? Yes! But how? But how do you structure a CV? How do I write a letter of motivation? In which language(s) should the documents be written and what else do I need for a successful application? All these points will be dealt with in our application workshop!
