International Campus

The Faculty of Arts and Humanities presents itself as a cosmopolitan and internationally oriented faculty that values its diversity in times of globalisation, and we warmly welcome all those who join us. Our commitment to the international mobility of our students, researchers, staff and up-and-coming talent is a central component of our philosophy. We consider the connection to a diverse, global network for collaboration, study, research and our own further development and education to be a matter of course.

The profile of our faculty is characterised by international cooperation in all fields of study, research, academic training and knowledge transfer. Our global mobility enables us to realise projects in cooperation with partner universities and research institutions worldwide and to continuously maintain and expand our global network.

Every year, over 350 students from our faculty take advantage of the opportunity to spend part of their studies at one of our partner universities. Our courses are characterised by an international and intercultural orientation, which creates a lively and dynamic international campus. This promotes cross-border and worldwide academic exchange and reflects international cooperation as a fundamental part of our identity.

Study International

We show you different ways to study abroad: semesters abroad, internships, summer schools or double degree programmes. There are numerous opportunities for you to expand your specialised knowledge and get to know new cultures.

Teach International

Employees can offer internationally oriented courses at UPB and thus contribute to the international campus, take up short-term lectureships, invite guests or organise international excursions or summer schools. They benefit from funding programmes such as Erasmus+ to gain international experience.

Research International

International research not only connects cultures: we support our researchers in applying for projects, provide information about opportunities and network with colleagues. Research visits can be funded as short-term stays via funding programmes such as Erasmus+.

Stays abroad for non-academic employees, secretariats and IT

As a non-academic employee, you have a wide range of opportunities to gain international experience and expand your professional, linguistic and personal skills. If you have never looked into the possibilities before, you will be surprised at the variety of opportunities to realise short-term stays abroad. As a faculty, we encourage you to take advantage of the opportunities that a stay abroad offers for your personal, linguistic and professional development.

Whether as part of exchange programmes with partner institutions, such as job shadowing in a similar field of work, job shadowing in international institutions or by participating in relevant training or language courses - we support you in building global networks and gaining new perspectives.

These programmes enable you to gain valuable insights into different ways of working, strengthen your intercultural skills and contribute to the internationalisation of our university.
