On Wednesday, 2 July, Prof. Dr Katharina von Kellenbach from the Institute of Protestant Theology will give a lecture on ‘Omnipotence: Theology and the Plotics of Power’.

In the ‘ZeKK live’ event format organised by the Centre for Comparative Theology and Cultural Studies (ZeKK) at Paderborn University, professorial ZeKK members interview guests from public life on issues relating to religion and society

As part of the sustainability lecture series "UPB for Future", a lecture by Prof. Dr. Thomas Tröster will take place on Thursday, 3 July at 4.15 pm in lecture hall L1. The lecture will examine the possibility of making public mobility both sustainable and convenient with small, automated vehicles.

The English-language lecture series "New Approaches to English Foreign Language Education" will take place again in the summer semester. Frauke Matz from the University of Münster will give the lecture on Monday, 7 July, on the topic of "Critical Language Education for Peace".

As part of the city's public event series "Paderborn Talks on the Culture of Remembrance", Prof. Dr. Barbara U. Meyer will give a lecture in the Liborianum education and conference centre (auditorium).

Dr. Anda-Lisa Harmening and Prof. Dr. Ingrid Scharlau answer questions about doctoral supervision and the role of doctoral candidates in this process.

In the summer semester 2025, the lecture series "Elementary Ontologies and Media between Politicisation and Depoliticisation" of the Institute of Media Studies will take place. On Tuesday, 8 July, J.-Prof. Dr. Katrin Köppert from the HGB Leipzig will give the lecture "Mine - Mime - Meme. Digital Blackface and Extractivism in the Neocene".

As part of the "Judaism on Tuesday" lecture series at Paderborn University, Prof. Dr. Nina Kölsch-Bunzen from Esslingen University of Applied Sciences will be presenting her book "Good News. Stories of Jesus told fairly for children".

On Wednesday, 9 July, Prof. Dr Johannes Grössl from the Institute of Catholic Theology will speak on the topic ‘The Infinite of Power Paradox: Solutions in Philosophical Thought and World Religions’.

As part of the sustainability lecture series "UPB for Future", a lecture by Sumaya Islam will take place on Thursday, 10 July at 4.15 pm in lecture hall L1. Her lecture will show how so-called "social entrepreneurs" use innovative approaches to solve social and ecological challenges.

The final event of the sustainability lecture series "UPB for Future" will be the lecture "Kultürlich Drag: Pop, Stars und Diversitäten: Spielerische Amateure und Profis in Exklusion, Inklusion und Transformation" by Prof. Dr. Christoph Jacke on Thursday, 17 July at 4.15 pm in lecture hall L1.
